"Dark Voices"

The black shadows surround me

And the whispers grow louder

The tingle in my head starts to throb

Suddenly the tingle turns into sharp pains

The darkness engulfs me

And I am lost in the blackness

The whispers turn to screams

And the pain in my head intensifies

My hands grow numb - as I claw at my burning eyes

The blood streams down my face

Something pushes down on my chest

I can't move

I can't breath

I'm growing weaker

My head is pounding -

About to explode

The voices lie

It isn't true

It isn't true...

Or is it?

I can't think

I can't concentrate

My head is throbbing

I can taste my own blood on my lips

The flame of my broken heart engulfs me -

But does not burn

It only intensifies the pain

The flames dance around me

Bringing me a little sense of peace

But it only lasts for a moment

The voices are angry

They want revenge

And I'm the easiest target

Don't let them do it -

Don't let them take me

It's to late - My eyes have stopped burning

The blood has stopped running

The pain in my head is just a tingle

The screams return to whispers

The flames fade to embers -

They fade to nothing

And there is only darkness

But the voices never stop
